Danse et réalité virtuelle : quand la scène se liquéfie
Thursday, June 1st
Expériences immersives (1ère partie)
Chélanie Beaudin-Quintin
10h30 – 12h00
Underwater is a dance and virtual reality (VR) work in progress by Chélanie Beaudin-Quintin, choreographed by Caroline Laurin-Beaucage. While the VR device creates a sensation of immersion, Underwater explores the idea of double immersion by immersing the audience underwater. By abandoning the stage, the creation of Underwater allows for the exploration of water as a vector of transformation of the body and our practices, to revisit the feeling of presence and to probe its limits. As VR becomes more democratic, it is a great opportunity to question our ways of doing things and to explore other critical representations of presence, for an expanded reality.
